PrintOperational Restrictions
- To be able to use the HT-Cluster one has:
- to have an IMT account and an AFS home
- (AFS home can be activated by using the "IMT Benutzerverwaltung").
- to be member of a special group
- Send an email to your local support to apply for using the HT-cluster.
For example people working in the computer science faculty send an email to irb-support(at)upb.de.

- Only sequential jobs are possible
- There are no shared file systems:
- Frontend local home is created automatically at first login
- Worker local homes are created via cron (5m interval)
- Worker local /opt/pc2 is updated via rsync (pull)
- “Old” data will be removed automatically from worker nodes
- “Old” data (4 weeks) will be removed automatically from frontend
- PC2 does not
- provide any application support
- install software X for user Y
