padfem²
A parallel adaptive finite element framework (DFG)
Hilti
Efficient algorithms for dynamic structural FE simulations (Industrial)
ALCOM-IT
Development of technologies and methods for the design of efficient algorithms and transfer to the industrial domains (EU)
Europort 1 & Europort2
The PC² has been a benchmarking site for the Europort projects, which objectives have been to demonstrate the benefits of parallel computing to industry. For that purpose 38 serial codes have been ported to parallel platforms. (EU)
GP-MIMD
The projects objective have been the development of architecture, system software and T9000 transparent hardware for a family of parallel computers
ZEUS
The ZEUS consortium was established to optimally exploit the potential in know-how and experience in the field of MPP and also to enter new fields of research, that a single center alone could hardly address
NRW-Forschungsverbund Paralleles Rechnen
The NRW-Forschungsverbund "Paralleles Rechnen" (i.e. parallel computing) has been an interdisciplinary community of research groups of different universities. It includes fields such as artificial intelligence, neural networks, image processing, parallel algorithms and languages, operating systems and optimisation tasks
Virtual Topologies and Global Functions
Libraries for the Parsytec PARIX operating system
NRW-Metacomputing
Northrhine-Westfalian Initiative on distributed high-performance computing
PLUS
A link between parallel programming models PVM, MPI, PARIX, ...
PHASE
A Distributed Pharmaceutical Application Server. (EU)
DYNAMITE
A Dynamic Task Migration Execution Environment. (EU)
MICA
A Model for Industrial CFD Applications. (EU)
MOL
A toolbox for the coordinated use of WAN/LAN connected systems
EPRI-COM
UNICORE
UNiform Interface to COmputer REsources
UNICORE Plus
The goal of UNICORE Plus is to develop a grid infrastructure together with a computing portal for engineers and scientists to access supercomputer centers from anywhere on the Internet. This has to be done with strong authentication in a uniform and easy to use way. The differences between platforms will be hidden from the user thus creating a seamless interface for accessing supercomputers, compiling and running applications, and transferring input/output data. Research areas in UNICORE Plus are resource modeling, application specific interfaces, data management, job control flow, and metacomputing. The project is based on the work done in the UNICORE project.
IMM-TV
HiQoS
SCI
