Research

The Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing PC² is a central scientific institute at the University of Paderborn and works as a research and service center in the fields of parallel and distributed computing. Scientists at PC² are developing methods and architectures for the efficient use of parallel and distributed systems. The research topics include classical high-end computing as well as datacenter administration and scalable storage.

PC² projects are funded by the European Commision, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the German Ministry of Economics (BMWi), as well as by industry. PC² is focusing its research on four demanding and important topics:

Please notice as well the research of our board members!

An Overview of the activities of the PC² of the years 2008 and 2009 is presented in the Annual Report 2008/2009 (pdf).
