Available Software

A wide range of license-free standard software, development tools and domain-specific software is installed on our systems. The software we provide is already specially adapted for the processors, networks and hardware accelerators of our supercomputers. You can find an overview of the available software and application-specific instructions for effective use in our documentation.

We can also install additional software at the customer's request. Users can also use the existing development tools to compile their own software on the systems and install it in user or group directories. For more complex software environments, we also support the use of container images using the Singularity container software. Our support team will be happy to assist you with the translation, installation and adaptation of your software to our environment.

Available Services

Our advisors can help you with on-boarding, setup, project structure, optimisation and much more. HPC beginners learn the ropes in our courses. In case of problems, contact our support team. Find out how we can help you using our systems.

HPC Compute Center (Building X)

Our data center was designed from the ground up for the highly efficient, cost-effective and sustainable operation of HPC systems. This is realized through a consistent focus on supercomputers with indirect hot water cooling, a tailor-made redundancy concept for the power and cooling supply and compliance with the latest environmental standards. This ensures highly reliable operation and outstanding energy efficiency. The building was put into operation in 2020 with the installation of the first supercomputer. The infrastructure offers space for the simultaneous operation of three Tier 2 HPC systems. A detailed description of the building infrastructure can be found here.
