The computational physics center of the National Alliance of High-Performance Computing (NHR) cordially invites everyone to the 2nd NHR Computational Physics Symposium.
The annual NHR-Conference is aiming at promoting scientific exchange among the HPC-user community.
The aim of the scientific conference is to bring together HPC users working on selected topics, varying each year.
This years topics are: Atomistic Simulation, Life Science and Agent-based Simulation
From September 4 to 7, 2023, the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing hosted their first hackathon event that brought together researchers with diverse scientific backgrounds to collaborate on innovative High-Performance Computing (HPC) projects. This autumn school introduces first-principles electronic-structure calculations. Lectures provide theoretical background on methods and materials. Practical experience will be gathered during hands-on tutorials using our CP-PAW code. In the optional second week the focus will be on a guided self-study project which will be presented in a seminar. The course targets physicists and chemists during their masters or PhD studies.

On November 7. and 8. the National Alliance of High-Performance Computing (NHR) has introduced the "NHR Computational Physics Center" (CPC) through a virtual inauguration symposium.
On the 3rd of November 2022 14:00-17:00, our fifth annual PC² User Meeting will take place. The meeting will be held in a hybrid fashion. We cordially invite all interested people to join the event in person in room P1.4.17 on our campus. Additionally, we will provide online access for those who cannot personally come to Paderborn.
